The Inquiry

This project is more than an art installation.
It is an inquiry into how space itself can shape human experience.

We are asking how architecture can support dance and ritual, not just as backdrop but as an active participant.

Abstract Shapes

Shaping the Unknown

At the heart of our inquiry are four living questions:

Body & Form

What qualities of space generate a visceral somatic response in the body?

Sound & Energy

How can sound be embedded into or emerge from the structure to enhance emotional and energetic impact?

Sacred Space

What architectural forms naturally invite a sense of reverence and intimacy, even without human facilitation?

Living Portal

Can a space itself become a ritual gateway - mobile and sacred?

Ways of Knowing

Our methods combine:

  • Embodied Testing: Moving, sounding, and meditating within prototypes and sketches to sense what works.

  • Collaborative Experimentation: Bringing architects, dancers, sound healers, and festival organisers together.

  • Cultural Study: Learning from ritual architecture across traditions, from temples to nomadic tents.

  • Iterative Design: Moving from sketches to models to prototypes, listening to feedback from both body and community.

In Process

Our research does not live only on paper. It is recorded through drawings and writing, and embodied memory. Some reflections appear as blog posts, others as installations.

This page will grow over time as our journey unfolds.
